This position is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day production needs of the company by ensuring quality workmanship.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Help set-up, maintain, and clean-up project sites to ensure safe work practices and compliance with OSHA at all times
  • Install Formawall, Centria DS58 & DS60 metal wall panels, custom preformed metal wall & soffit panels, Parapet Coping & cut miters, custom sheet metal flashing & trim, Fascia, panel sills, profile closures, and window flashings
  • Demonstrate great time-management skills, reliability, and punctuality, ensuring completion of daily job duties
  • Must show up promptly to the job site ready to complete high-quality work; requesting clarification or assistance when needed
  • Must demonstrate respect to customers, supervisors, and team members, communicating all concerns in a professional manner and to standards of conduct and company policies at all times
  • Must properly manage all assigned tools, equipment, and material
  • Understanding of right and responsibility to report any safety concern or issue and stop work
  • Ability to perform elevated work routinely lifting and carrying at least 100lbs

Requirements:

  • OSHA 10 hour training – minimum
  • Experience working with metal roofing, coping, and the above, listed materials
  • Pass initial employment drug test and participate in random drug test program
  • Represents the company in a referable, respectable, and reliable manner
  • Hard-working individual with the ability to follow directions with great attention to detail
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance on military job sites
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Ability to perform elevated work routinely lifting and carrying at least 50 lbs; withstand extensive bending, kneeling, and walking in all types of weather for 8+ hours per day

Essential Job Functions:

  • Accurately assess potential customers’ roofing needs in a professional manner.
  • Follow up on sales leads in a timely fashion and document the quality of the lead.
  • Provide well documented consultation and approved proposals to clients using sales tools and while following the JR and Co., Inc. sales process
  • Meet sales goals established by company management.
  • Process complete pre-estimate information to for estimating..
  • Negotiate favorable margins and terms within company guidelines.
  • Professionally present all JR & Co., Inc. capabilities to clients. When applicable, present other JR and Co. capabilities to clients.
  • Participate in pre-construction meeting and pre-job walk through.
  • Consistently track all sales activities in CRM database.
  • Submit complete job file information to include sold contract to accounting (signed contract, specific instructions, roof drawings, and other documents necessary for file set up).etc.).
  • Participate as a liaison to client throughout construction of projects.
  • Deliver closeout package to clients with applicable warranty information and RTM proposal.
  • Attend tradeshows, networking, and and marketing functions as needed. Actively participate in collection of client funds as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of commercial roofing systems, applications, and benefits
  • Vast knowledge of roofing.
  • Continuing education regarding roofing systems, building codes, and sales practices
  • Adherence to all work safety protocols in compliance with OSHA
  • Track and produce sales and gross profit consistently against the company’s goals
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain compliance with the JR & Co., Inc. driver’s policy
  • 3-5 years of experience in a combination of sales and commercial/residential roofing
  • Computer & Software Proficiencies: Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, The EDGE; word, excel, power point, outlook

As a Solar Installer at JR & Co. you will oversee the overall quality of solar panel work as well as job site safety.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for crew trucks, trailers, tools, & job site at all times.
  • Review shop drawings and site plans with Construction Manager
  • Installing solar panels & solar panel hardware
  • Measuring, cutting and joining materials made of wood or wood substitutes
  • Constructing wooden structures for solar panel installation
  • Help to ensure safe work practices and compliance with OSHA at all times
  • Maintain professional and consistent communication with customers, supervisors and co-workers
  • Coordinate with Supervisor and/or Warehouse Staff and manage trailer, inventory and re-stock regularly
  • Ensure all tools are properly and securely stored to prevent theft or damage; reporting missing, damaged, or unsafe tools to CM immediately
  • Notify CM of any unauthorized work on shop drawings or any other work not specifically instructed to perform by CM prior to performance.
  • Using buildertrend software for clock-in and clock-out as well as daily reports
  • Submit ALL receipts to accounting in a timely manner; no later than the end of the month
  • Willingness to adapt and be utilized in the roofing, sheet metal, and general construction department when necessary

Needed Skills:

  • Proficient math skills for calculating areas, lengths, height, and width accurately using a tape measure
  • Carpentry & General Construction experience preferred
  • OSHA 10 Hour Construction Certification (preferred)
  • Ability to read plans & shop drawings in order to execute the work specified
  • Motivated & hardworking with great communication, time management and leadership skills
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen

As a General Construction Carpenter at JR & Co. you will be in charge of the overall quality of work as well as job site safety and crew management.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for crew trucks, trailers, tools, & job site at all times.
  • Review shop drawings and site plans with Construction Manager
  • Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying sub-flooring and installing walls and roofing systems
  • Fitting and installing trim, doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
  • Measuring, cutting and joining materials made of wood or wood substitutes
  • Repairing and renovating wooden structures
  • Help to ensure safe work practices and compliance with OSHA at all times
  • Maintain professional and consistent communication with customers, supervisors and co-workers
  • Coordinate with CM and/or Warehouse Staff and manage trailer, inventory and re-stock regularly
  • Ensure all tools are properly and securely stored to prevent theft or damage; reporting missing, damaged, or unsafe tools to CM immediately
  • Notify CM of any unauthorized or non-detailed work on shop drawings or any other work not specifically instructed to perform by CM prior to performance. Do not perform any out of scope work prior to approval of written change orders.
  • OSHA training (JR & Co. will provide if necessary) and continual training as necessary
  • Using buildertrend software for daily reports
  • Submit ALL receipts to accounting timely

  • Regularly check weather forecast and plan ahead to maintain schedule and limit risk
  • Report job incidents, accidents, concerns, and issues with supervisor the same day
  • Regularly document project information and communicate with stakeholders
  • Submit ALL receipts to accounting in a timely manner; no later than the end of the week

Requirements:

  • Possess or attain OSHA 30 Construction Industry training prior to start of employment
  • Must pass initial employment background and drug test and participate in random drug testing
  • Must have minimum 5 years of commercial & residential roofing experience (TPO, PVC, Tile, Shingle, Metal Roofing, Roof Coating, Modified-Bitumen: Torch Down, Cold Process, Self Adhered)
  • Must possess and maintain clean driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Must be familiar with utilizing a tablet and software such as: Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Calendar, etc
  • Must be willing to learn buildertrend and FCS Roofing Software
  • Must be someone who is humble, hungry and smart and capable of representing the company in a reliable, referable, and respectable manner
  • Must be willing to travel and work weekends as necessary
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be organized and able to document project information.
