Jonathan Schilling started with JR & Co. in 2005 and over the years has successfully filled many of our key positions. With years of experience in roofing and construction management, Jonathan was promoted to General Manager in 2013 and went on to purchase the company in 2017. Jonathan is a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served from 2007-2019.
“JR & Co. has grown and succeeded because of the great, hardworking team of people that surround me. Without them, JR & Co. would not be what it is today. The JR & Co. culture of family that I have worked hard to cultivate is a direct inspiration of the love and support I get from my wife Rebecca and my six children – Asher, Katelyn, Emma, Olivia, Brynlee and Grant. I would not be the man or leader I am today without them.”
Mike Harris has been the Chief Financial Officer at JR & Co. since December 2020. He has over 30 years of financial experience in both the corporate and public accounting industries. Most recently Mike was a partner at a Big Four public accounting firm serving high profile clients across a wide variety of industries.

Matthew Schilling has been with JR & Co. since 2007, starting as a Warehouse Assistant and working his way through the ranks to Chief Operations Officer in 2020. With over a decade of hands-on construction experience, Matthew excels in problem-solving and operational management. Matthew served in the United States Army Reserves for nine years as a helicopter mechanic and CH 47 flight engineer.

Nathan Stewart has been with JR & Co. since October of 2015 and has served in various leadership roles during the growth of our company. As a certified Contracts Manager and Project Manager with a Master’s degree in project management, he participates in local professional chapters and the development of best practices in these fields. He has over 15 years of construction supervision, project management, proposal development, contract negotiation, and leadership experience for federal contractors, large construction corporations, and private businesses.
“Before I came to work for JR & Co., I was one of their clients and my motivation to join the team was from years of experience working with them on large federal projects where they excelled beyond their competition in integrity and performance. Outside of work my wife and I with our four children enjoy exploring and experiencing the outdoors and traveling the country in our RV.”
Mike House has been the in leadership at JR & Co. since January of 2021. He has worked in the construction industry for over 25 years and strives to develop long lasting relationships with his customers.
“When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our four children. We are huge fans of Sporting KC, the Chiefs, and the Kansas Jayhawks. Most evenings and weekends, you can find my family at the soccer fields.”
Chris Jorgensen has been the VP – New Construction since October 2021. He started at JR & Co. in May of 2009 and has served successfully in various positions and departments, working his way through the ranks. In total, he has over 23 years of roofing experience.
“I love JR because of the family atmosphere. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my ‘not-work’ family going camping and boating.”
Curtis joined the JR & Co. team in 2018 coming on as a project superintendent overseeing quality, production, and safety. Since taking over the operations of the Sheet Metal division in 2019, it has doubled in size and production. He has 20 years of experience in sheet metal and shop fabrication.
“What I like most about working for JR & Co. is the camaraderie and family atmosphere. When I am not working, I love to spend time with my wife and three girls and travel any chance we get.”
Justin Jorgensen has been with JR & Co. since March 2010 and serves as VP – Public Sector. Justin has over 15 years of construction and project management experience and has served in various positions throughout the company during his tenure at JR & Co, from Crew Member to Director of Project Management.

Nathan Clausen is VP – Private Sector for JR & Co. He has 12 years of commercial roofing experience and 5 years of photovoltaic solar experience. The combination of commercial roofing and solar expertise has helped put JR & Co. in a unique position to offer customers a customized Solar Roof System.
“JR & Co. is like an extended family. It changes everything when you love the people you work with. When I’m not at work I am enjoying time with my wife and 5 children. We are busy with soccer, basketball, wrestling and gymnastics.”
Tony began his career in the roofing industry in the later part of 2015 and has been a part of the construction industry since
2005. In 2020 he was promoted to the role of Florida Branch Manager, and VP – Estimating in 2023. As VP Tony is responsible for all estimating across the company.
“I enjoy spending time with the family and helping out friends and family with small home projects. I used to ride a sports motorcycle which is something I hope to be able to get back into some day. I also enjoy working on vehicles in any free time I get. I recently started getting into football and have been very attentive to games that take place over the weekends.”
David Schilling has been with JR & Co. since March 2012. He has served in several roles, starting out as a laborer on a crew, David now serves as the operations director for our Private Sector work in Kansas CIty. David has been able to work in many facets of the company including roofing and sheet metal.
“I’ve enjoyed the lasting relationships built at JR & Co. that go deeper than just work. Outside of work, I enjoy playing sports, woodworking, serving at my church, and spending time with my family. I’ve been very blessed with a wife, twin daughters, and a son.”
Matt Morrison has been at JR & Co. since 2021. He has over 10 years of construction related experience and has contributed both to our operations and business development teams.
“When I’m not working, I like to run, spend time with my family and root for Sporting KC and Tottenham Hotspur.”
Brad Loney met the JR & Co. team originally as a customer and was impressed by the people and company values so much that he became a member of the JR & Co. family in May 2021. As Director of Business Development – Cedar Rapids, Brad brings decades of varied experiences ranging from motorsports to manufacturing and fabrication.
“Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my partner Kathy as well as skiing, cycling, running and motocross.”
Joe Kaiser is one of the newest additions to the JR & Co. family. His extensive sales and marketing experience along with strong relationship skills will be key to building the company’s client base and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction. Responding to and anticipating client needs are just two of Joe’s many strengths.

Beckie Mellen has worked in the Apartment Industry, on-site and as a supplier for 25 years. As a supplier she has sold carpet cleaning, removal of bed bugs, construction, roofing, tile installs and floor coverings. With the Apartment Industry she has become a Lyceum graduate, certified apartment supplier and served on the board of directors 2020-2022. She has received Volunteer of the Year 2017, Ambassador of the Year 2019, and Peak Sales Professional 2022.
Russ Baldwin has been in the roofing & construction industry for over 26 years and has been with JR & Co. since April, 2001. Throughout the 20 years with JR & Co. he has successfully performed many roles including Commercial & Residential Roof Installation, Repairs, Estimating, Inspection & Reporting, and Sales. He has developed strong relationships with many building owners and contractors throughout Kansas City during this time and continues to grow a successful book of business each year.

Granville Hare has been with JR & Co. since November of 2020. He has previous experience in theatrical tech, corporate management, construction, and of course, the commercial roofing industry. While at JR & Co. he has worked as a sheet metal installer in the field, an AutoCAD designer, and an estimator while also joining the business development team.
“I joined JR & Co. to work through the pandemic while waiting for my previous job to start back. However I chosen to stay because of the professional, fun, and family-oriented environment. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife and children, golfing, and tackling projects at home.”
Lee LaRochelle joined the JR & Co. team in Colorado in January of 2022. He has more than 30 years of sheet metal estimating and project management experience. He’s estimated projects up to $6 million and project managed projects up to $4.5 million. He adds a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team when it comes to sheet metal.
“I’m glad to be a part of the Colorado team. There’s so much to do here outside of working hours. It’s a great city to be outside where I can enjoy cycling, hiking, and camping. My lovely wife and I also have three children that we enjoy seeing and spending time with when we can.”
Malachi Swigart has been with JR & Co. since December of 2018 and became an estimator 6 months after that. Though his first steps into the industry were with JR & Co. when he first started, he is eager to learn and has been able to become well trained in roofing and estimating with JR & Co.’s values in mind. He is currently estimating out of the Florida panhandle under the southeast region of JR & Co.
“I love working for JR & Co. because of the family environment. It’s nice to work in a place where everyone is a team and not just a bunch of numbers on a spreadsheet. In my free time, I wear many different hats. I am in the Marine Corps Reserves, I enjoy playing rugby for a local club, and training Jiu Jitsu. My favorite thing to do is hang out with my wife and daughter and just live life to the fullest, especially outdoors. We love rodeo, hunting, fishing, boating and we stay active in our local church ministries as well.”
Allen Bailey has worked for JR & Co. for thirteen years. He started out as a service technician under a service foreman with just two service crews at the company. He moved up to be service foreman six years later after learning all roofing systems and how they function. In 2018 he was promoted to the service director with five service crews under him at JR & Co. In 2021 Allen moved up to be Service Operations Manager and brought on a service manager to help with the growing service department. JR & Co. currently has six experienced service crews running and plans on expanding in 2022.
I was drawn to JR & Co. thirteen years ago looking for a career and he found one in JR & Co. When Allen is not working he enjoys bowling, watching football, grilling/smoking meat, and spending time with his family.
Renee Dominguez- Santos
Renee Dominguez-Santos has been the Lead Service Administrator at JR & Co. since October 2018. She has 11 years of Administrative experience in a variety of industries

Cameron Rucker has been at JR & Co. since Fall 2019. He took over as the Director of Residential Roofing in April of 2022. He has a variety of professional experience from sales, fleet management, project coordination, and talent acquisition. Cameron is grateful to be a part of the JR & Co. family and eager to see the company continue to grow and offer outstanding construction services to the community.
“JR & Co. is a blessing to me and my family and I consider it an immense privilege to work here. On my off days I enjoy fly fishing, breakfast dates with my wife, and being involved with my church. I’m currently working on a Master of Arts in Ministry from Piedmont Divinity School.”
Andrew Kaiser has been working at JR & Co. since February 2016. Although he has held multiple positions within that time frame, he is currently serving as the Operations Support Manager. He has over 7 years of construction experience and had the privilege of working overseas in Singapore for 4 years.
I’m so thankful for the opportunity to work at JR & Co. and can’t imagine working anywhere else. Outside of work, I spend as much time with my wife & 6 kids as I possibly can, and I seek to know God more through bible study and being involved with our church family. If there is time after that, I enjoy various outdoor activities such as working in my yard and playing baseball/softball.
Joshua Johansen has been in Project Controls at JR & Co. since February, 2021. He has also worked for 2 years in the field as a roofer at JR & Co and has worked in other construction related capacities.
“When I am not working I am spending time with my wife and children, serving at my church, cheering for the Chiefs, watching a movie, or enjoying the outdoors.”
Jordan Johansen has been in Project Controls at JR & Co. since May, 2021. He began work for JR & Co as a roofer in 2016.
“I love working at JR & Co. because of the family-oriented culture. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, flying drones, and composing soundtracks.”
Kyle Ross has been a Project Coordinator at JR & Co. since April, 2022. He graduated from UMKC in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Prior to working at JR, he spent several years in management in the food and beverage industry.
“What drew me to JR & Co. was their welcoming family atmosphere and amazing team. Outside of work, I enjoy playing guitar with my church, being outdoors, and exploring downtown KC with my wife Veronica.”
Ashley Welch has been in Project Controls at JR and Co. since April of 2022. She has three years of previous experience in the Property Management industry as an Assistant Property Manager for various properties in the Kansas City area.
“I joined JR & Co. to pursue a new career in a new industry and it has been a blessing to be a part of such a great team. I love the atmosphere, culture, and people and am thankful for the opportunity to be here! Outside of work, I enjoy playing soccer, bowling, cooking and spending time with my friends and family. I also love to spend time with my dog doing various activities like playing fetch or going to the dog park!”
Cory has been the Manager of Quality Control at JR & Co. since January, 2021. He has 15+ years of roofing experience with a hiatus in between. He has been officiating football at the high school varsity level for the past 12 years and made it to the level of NAIA in the sport of Lacrosse.
“This is my second go around with JR & Co. and was brought back by the people and culture they have cultivated. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing and spending time at home with my wife and three young girls.”
Jacob Mueller has been in the construction industry for 25 years. He earned his Civil Engineering Degree from UMKC in 2016. Jacob has been the Operations Manager at JR & Co. since December of 2018 and has been recognized for his outstanding leadership during that time.

When not hard at work, I’m spending time with my wife and 3 (adult) children, playing board games, watching the Chiefs and playing with our 3 Australian Shepherds and Sphynx cat.”
Ed Yancik, born and raised in Colorado Springs as a third generation Colorado native, has an extensive career as a problem solving, customer service professional. Ed possesses a unique combination of industrial aptitude and analytical process that delivers well thought-out solutions to our customers.

When not working, I enjoy take my jeep and both dogs up to the mountains.
Abraham Nichols is the Branch Manager for the JR & Co. Florida Office. He has 8 years in Commercial and Residential Roofing. He is involved in building and training our construction teams to strive for absolute perfection.

Alex’s experience in this field goes back to 2013 where he started as a roofing laborer for a company in Boston, MA. Alex quickly grasped the trade, learning sheet metal, steep slope, flat roofing, waterproofing, and much more. Alex found a passion for this trade and wanted to start working toward making it a career. He was promoted to a Sheet Metal Foreman where he got the opportunity to work on ornamental copper, historical buildings and much more. In 2021, Alex was offered an opportunity to work in Florida for JR & Co. where he was able to quickly build on his experience. Immediately being put into an opportunity to be challenged as a Superintendent on one of our jobs in Alabama. Additionally, working in Cape Canaveral at one of the Space Force Locations. Alex is extremely grateful to work for Jr & Co. and be a part of our great team here.
“Faith and family are the most important aspects of my life. My sons, Mason and Tanner, are the greatest blessings in my life. I am extremely grateful to have a wife that keeps it all together everyday. Ever since we came to Florida, we have enjoyed weekend trips to Disney World with our sons, we love to go to the beach but wish we did it more and also being that we both played college sports, we are excited to be able to check out the Spring Training games down here. Although my wife is a Red sox fan, and I am a Yankees fan, we make it work! Tom Brady is the Goat we actually named our dog, Brady, after him. GO PATS! Tim Carson has been a Project Manager for JR & Co. since March of 2021. He has 7 years of construction Project Management experience.
I was excited for the opportunity to come on board JR and Company’s team due to our core values and leadership team.
Stephen Kimberling is an in-house grown project manager that has been working with JR & Co. since July of 2017. His experience began in the field, side-by-side with many coworkers he calls friends that he has had the pleasure of growing with. His experience ranges from a variety of division seven products such as metal wall panels, ACM, fiber cement panels, insulated metal panels, roofing systems and other products JR & Co. is eager to learn.

I enjoy being able to utilize and direct the many talents of personnel on projects that I have the pleasure of facilitating. I look forward to meeting new faces and helping to continue to provide a sturdy service to those looking for a great product. Travis Lloyd has been a commercial sheet metal estimator at JR & Co. since March of 2021. He has been part of the JR & Co. family in the sheet metal department for the last 5 years.
“When not working, I like to use my free time spending time with my young teenage son as well as working on my rental property.”
Matt Michalak has been a Project Manager since 2021 and a Safety & Compliance Specialist at JR & Co. since February of 2019. His engineering background as well as more than a decade of commercial industry experience has proven invaluable as it relates to understanding and guiding the team to be in the best possible positions to stay safe on the job site.
“When not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife of 15 years and our 5 children. We’re at our happiest when we’re enjoying the great outdoors together.”
Jordan Bryant joined the JR & Co. team as a Project Manager in February of 2022. He brings knowledge from his previous project management experiences, working with federal contractors on a wide variety of new construction and renovation projects, and has experience working with a broad array of Government agencies.
“I was excited to join the team at JR & Co. because of the family-oriented and friendly atmosphere, culture and values. Outside of work, I enjoy running, bicycling, playing golf, spending time with my family and friends, and serving alongside my church family. I am a classically pianist and enjoy spending my free time playing and composing music.”
With nearly 20 years of construction management experience on large and complex projects across the country, David Tate is qualified and experienced in planning, executing, and overseeing large roofing programs similar to HCA’s hospitals. Leveraging numerous cloud-based, construction management software systems, and other relevant technologies, Mr. Tate has successfully delivered millions of dollars of construction to highly satisfied end-users and owners.
Daniel Wingerd has been a Designer for JR & Co. since March 2020. Before working for JR & Co., Daniel received his degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design from Metropolitan Community College in December 2019 and also worked for a small, local remodeling company.

Octavio Tello has been working with JR & Co. since 2016. He started as a sub contractor became a full-time employee in 2019. He has 28 years of experience in the commercial roofing industry.
“I moved from Minnesota five years ago to Kansas City and a friend recommend me to JR & Co. Some things I enjoy when I’m off work are watching sports, drink coffee with family and friends, exploring new places, and doing home improvement.”
Justin Fross has been with JR & Co. since May, 2019, and a Sheetmetal Superintendent since August of 2020. He has been in the construction industry for 22 years doing both commercial and residential work. He won the rising star award within the company in 2019 and specializes in customer relations.
“The JR family is one that looks to help people grow in their knowledge and experience levels. When I came on I had a lot of learning to do and everyone I have encountered along the way has been willing to help me learn and experience more. I am very thankful to be apart of the JR team. When I am not at work you will find me doing life with my beautiful wife and 5 kids, tinkering with projects, or spending time with my church family.”
Ronnie Hurt has been the Sheet Metal Superintendent at JR & Co. in Colorado since March 2021. He has over 20 years of sheet metal experience and has done sheet metal projects all over the world. He has been in manager/supervisory roles for over 15 years and adds incredible value to our team in building up great sheet metal foremen and skilled laborers as well as overseeing all our sheet metal projects on the Front Range.

Bob Cary has held several different titles at JR & Co. since he joined the team in October 2018. For quite some time he played a crucial role as Quality Control and Safety Manager, overseeing many of our projects on military bases in Colorado. He has served the team in both supervisory and safety roles and most recently has taken on managing the warehouse in Colorado and stepping into more and more operations manager responsibilities. Bob serves the team in many capacities and he brings a lot of skills and abilities to the table.

Daniel Nichols has been the Heavy Equipment Coordinator since August 2020 – coordinating equipment rental needs on all jobs from start to finish.
“I really enjoy working here at JR & Co. and appreciate the people, values and vision here. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, ministering with our local church and following my favorite soccer teams.”
Selvinth Maldonado has been the Director of HR/Family Care at JR & Co. since May, 2021. He has 30 years of experience in Education, Social Work and Administration. He is currently an active member of Baseball Chapel and he serves as a pastor for a bilingual church in Kansas City, Kansas.
“My desire to work with the company was because of the many opportunities I have to serve employees, their families, and the community. When I am not working at JR & Co., I enjoy time with my family and friends from church, and I try to be active by playing soccer with my children.”
Trent Carter has been the Director of Safety and Compliance at JR & Co. for the past 8 years. He has over 20 years of safety and compliance experience in both the private and public sector markets. Trent received his OSHA 500 Authorized Trainer card in 2013 and re-certified this credential in 2017 and in 2021. Trent currently holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Master of Arts in Human Resources with an emphasis on training and development and most recently completed the requirements and received a Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management from the University of Central Missouri. Additionally, Trent also has attained the Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) designations as recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
“When I’m not working to make our company even safer, I enjoy reading, writing poetry, playing the spoons in a Bon Ton band, and practicing origami.”
Lucas Moore was a former Army Sargent that served with the 75th Ranger Regiment, after which he worked in many different industries before joining the team at JR & Co. He has been working at JR & Co. since October 2020 as a member of the project controls teams focused on increasing company cash flow and improving relationships with the business partners in our field of work. He is also currently an accounting major at UMKC, where he is planning on getting his CPA.

Diana Jones has been the Accounts Receivable Manager at JR & Co. since January 2019. Diana has over
30 years of accounting experience in the construction industry thru many aspects of construction. Her
initial goal in coming to JR & Co. was to develop accounting processes as the company continued to grow.
“I serve on the executive board of 3 non-profit organizations in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Two
(2) of my organizations focus on the IDD (intellectual & developmental disability) community. Serving
these organizations in an accounting capacity. I am currently the President of an organization that
focuses on law enforcement and veteran initiatives. I love giving back to my community. I enjoy
spending my free time with these organizations as well as spending time with my husband and 2
Madison Hancock works with Accounts Payable in the Accounting Department at JR & Co. She has experience in many different roles and departments over several years.
“I came to JR & Co. right out of college in 2013. I was drawn to JR & Co. because this company is family-oriented and cares about its employees. When I am not working I love hanging out with my family and friends. I enjoy serving in the student ministry at my church and watching my God-Children grow.”
Samantha Kaiser is the Purchasing Coordinator at JR & Co. and has worked here since October 2018. She also has 10 years of customer service experience in a wide variety of businesses.

Katelynn Hare is a Sr. Administrative Assistant at JR & Co. She has been with the company since May of 2021, but has been working in the accounting/administrative side of the roofing industry for the past five years. Before making the switch to roofing she worked in cosmetology.
I chose to make a switch to JR & Co. because of their love and respect of family. Family is a huge part of my life and when I am not at work you will always find me spending time with them. I am married to a wonderful man, who also works here at JR & Co., and we have two beautiful children. I love watching them learn and grow, they make my life more exciting and wonderful everyday! A huge aspect of my life is my faith. I have grown up in and continue to serve at Avenue Family Church alongside my family.
Naomi Bryant has been an administrative assistant at JR & Co. since March 2021. Naomi is passionate about organization and loves helping people. She was previously a children’s caretaker and a camp counselor at a Christian kid’s camp, God’s Mountain.
When I am not at work, I enjoy doing home DIY projects and expressing my creativity through painting, drawing, stitching, etc. You will also always find me spending time with my husband and dog, Wilson. I am an active church member and sing in the choir every Sunday. I was born and raised in Watford, England.
Geraldine Tenorio is an administrative assistant. She joined JR & Co. in April 2020.
The atmosphere and people around me make working at JR & Co. enjoyable. There is never a dull moment in my day. Outside of work I enjoy painting: I like trying different mediums and methods. My current favorites are acrylic pouring and oil paints. Along with that I enjoy reading a good book and spending time with my family.
Raleighe Gonzales has been the Front Desk and Administrative Assistant at JR & Co since October, 2020. She has over 5 years of Customer Service experience in several unique industries.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time outside, going to concerts with her husband, and cooking.
Ryan Hendrickson has been in the Estimating Department at JR & Co. since October of, 2015 and a member of JR & Co. since 2012. He has been in the roofing industry since he was 16 years old. Ryan has seen the roofing industry from several different aspects from labor, foreman, consultant, and estimator to project management. He is currently an active member of IIBEC and holds a certification as a Registered Roof Observer (RRO). Additionally, he holds certifications as a CQM through U.S. Army CORPS of Engineers. Ryan supports our Federal Team and wears several hats depending on the customer’s needs.

Brett has been in the construction industry for 20+ years. He has worked in just about every trade in the industry. Brett was also a firefighter where he put his love for helping people and leadership skills to work. Brett’s passion though is softball. An outgoing individual who loves competition. His vibrant personality, love of competition, leadership skills, and love for helping people has made him a perfect fit in our Residential team.
Dave Schauer started with JR & Co. in May 2023, but was a former customer of JR & Co. for over 15 years. With years of experience in construction management and multi-unit maintenance management, Dave was a natural choice to continue his career as the VP of the Private sector for JR & Co.
“My greatest legacy will be the confidence that I have in my 4 children (Heather, Josh, Halea, and Isaiah) and their spouses (Corey, Jamie, Jacob, and Emma) to change the environment that they can affect with the wisdom, understanding, and compassion that their Mom (Nan) and I have ingrained into their spirits. This legacy will also be passed along to our grandchildren currently at 9. This is a generational blessing that can be multiplied which is truly a labor of love that is worth the time and effort.”
In June 2023, Regina started working as a service sales executive for JR & Co. Regina loves being around people, exploring the city, and learning new things. Outside of work, she enjoys watching sitcoms, listening to her favorite artists, and spending time with family and friends”
