Our scope encompassed the complete roofing and exterior building envelope, including 39,200 square feet of roofing and 90,000 square feet of architectural cladding. JR&CO delivered a fully integrated envelope solution featuring a Very Severe Hail rated TPO roofing system and a large scale cladding installation. The work included high performance insulation, tapered roofing assemblies, electronic leak detection, and custom roof access components, along with extensive installation of insulated metal panels. Specialty exterior elements such as louvers, canopies, and aluminum fins were carefully coordinated and installed to achieve durable performance and a cohesive architectural finish.

  • The Rocky Mountain climate posed challenges including hail, high winds, and extreme temperature swings, which JR&CO addressed by designing and installing an FM Global rated roofing system engineered for high altitude durability and long term performance.
  • Seamless coordination between roofing and cladding scopes was critical to achieving a continuous, weather tight building envelope, with custom painted roof hatches and heavy duty access platforms integrated without compromising roof performance or warranty requirements.
  • Architectural detailing elevated the project beyond a standard industrial facility, with in house fabrication of extruded aluminum fins allowing JR&CO to maintain quality control while delivering a distinctive and visually impactful façade.
  • JR&CO successfully designed and installed a complete building envelope system, including 90,000 square feet of Kingspan insulated metal panels and durable rooftop access systems tailored to the region’s demanding environmental conditions.

The Aerospace Building Expansion in Colorado Springs serves a critical role in advanced industry operations, where reliability, design innovation, and structural integrity are non‑negotiable. JR&CO’s execution across roof, cladding, and custom architectural components demonstrates our ability to deliver comprehensive building envelope solutions tailored for high‑performance facilities. The successful completion of this project reinforces our expertise in integrating design, durability, and longevity in demanding environments.
