Cotton Bowl

Overview

The Cotton Bowl, the historic Fair Park stadium in Dallas, Texas, turned to JR&CO to keep the spaces beneath its seating bowl dry. JR&CO installed a suspended subroof system below the stadium seating and above the concessions, kitchens, restrooms, storage areas, and service spaces that operate under the stands.

The subroof captures rainwater, snowmelt, and other moisture that passes through the seating structure and directs it to the stadium’s drainage system, protecting guests, structural components, and the mechanical and electrical systems below. Integrated with the stadium’s structure, the system is built for long-term durability and lower maintenance, helping one of college football’s most storied venues stay fully operational on game day and beyond.
