Overview

Fort Carson is an active U.S. Army installation in Colorado Springs, home to units including the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team. JR&CO served as prime contractor to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District on a hail damage repair package covering 350,000 square feet of roofing across the post — office buildings, dormitories, security facilities, a hospital, training and storage buildings, and a gymnasium.

The work proceeded above occupied, mission-critical spaces, with roofing at the brigade headquarters sequenced around active medical, training, and office operations rather than the reverse. JR&CO delivered four separate roof systems under a single task order — TPO, PVC, built-up, and standing seam metal — fabricating the standing seam panels on site to produce full-length runs without field splices. When the Corps converted the gymnasium into a COVID-19 treatment facility mid-project, JR&CO resequenced the work and closed the program on schedule at the original contract price.
