Fremont Beef operates a meat processing and cold storage facility in Fremont, Nebraska, running under USDA regulation. JR&CO replaced more than 81,000 square feet of roofing across three separate roof areas while the plant stayed fully operational — tearing off to the structural deck and installing an adhered Elevate MAX PVC system built up from a vapor barrier, dual layers of insulation, HD cover board, and a fully adhered 60 mil membrane with welded seams.
The existing roof carried a dense field of penetrations serving exhaust, refrigeration, and ammonia systems, and several sections sat directly above cold storage, where the temperature differential across the assembly drove elevated moisture control demands. JR&CO specified a fully adhered system in place of mechanical attachment to avoid penetrating the deck of an occupied food-processing envelope, and developed the tear-off and dry-in sequence jointly with plant staff so processing never stopped.
