Project Spotlight: St. Wenceslaus Church – Cedar Rapids, IA

In August 2020, the historic St. Wenceslaus Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was severely impacted by the devastating derecho storm. With high winds causing significant damage, immediate action was necessary to prevent further harm to the building.

JR & Co. responded swiftly, deploying our rapid disaster response team to secure the structure. We began by drying in the building, ensuring no additional water damage occurred. Our team then removed debris and damaged brick to prepare for the restoration process. Shortly after, we began the full reroofing of the church, replacing the damaged roofing system with a new shingle roof system, designed to provide long-term protection and enhance the church’s historic beauty.

This project serves as another example of JR & Co.’s commitment to immediate, efficient disaster response, helping to restore and protect structures in the wake of catastrophic events.
